Lubricants and plasticizers: Its fatty acid esters are highly efficient lubricants and polyvinyl chloride plasticizers
Medicine and pesticides: used in the production of medicine and pesticides
Others: used as hard water softeners in detergent formulations, and as raw materials for preparation of polyfunctional compounds
